DR ‹ › The Oman Football Association has announced the appointment of Moroccan coach Tarik Sektioui as head of the national team, replacing Portuguese manager Carlos Queiroz. In a statement posted on X, the federation said Sektioui will lead "the first national team during the upcoming phase, as it prepares for its future commitments." The association also confirmed that Carlos Queiroz's contract was terminated "by mutual consent," thanking him for his work during his tenure. Sektioui arrives with a solid track record. He guided Morocco's Olympic team to a bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Games, led the national side to victory in the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), and won the Arab Cup in Qatar in 2025 with Morocco's local-based squad.
