DR ‹ › Morocco's national A' team head coach, Tarik Sektioui, said on Thursday evening in Doha that the Atlas Lions secured the Arab Cup title (Qatar 2025) despite fierce competition from strong teams and high-caliber players. Speaking at the post-match press conference following the final against Jordan, which Morocco won 3–2, Sektioui stressed that his side faced opponents who have already qualified for the upcoming World Cup. «The different stages of this Cup were not easy, particularly given the difficulties we encountered during the preparation phase, including the absence of several players and injuries», he said. Sektioui added that Morocco's second Arab Cup triumph would not have been possible without the significant efforts and sacrifices made by the national players. He praised their tactical discipline and technical quality, which, he said, enabled them to reach their objective and lift the trophy. For his part, Jordan head coach Jamal Sellami, who is Moroccan, highlighted the quality of football displayed by both sides in a final that lived up to expectations. He noted that «the Jordanian players delivered an excellent performance despite several absences and managed to compete against top-level teams». Sellami congratulated the Atlas Lions on their victory and underlined that «the Jordanian national team's project is not limited to a single match or a specific final, but rather forms part of a long-term approach aimed at developing football more broadly».
