DR ‹ › Senegal will present the Africa Cup of Nations trophy ahead of their friendly against Peru in Paris on Saturday, despite being stripped of the title by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The Senegalese Football Federation is planning a 15-minute trophy presentation at the Stade de France, according to a schedule published on its social media ahead of the match. At a press conference in Paris, the Senegalese federation's lawyer Seydou Diagne said that CAF's appeals body had rejected Morocco's request to receive «the medals, the prize money, the rewards» following the ruling. «There is no decision today from CAF or its appeals jury that orders the Senegalese Football Federation or the national team to return their medals or to return the trophy on the pitch», he said. Senegal's move comes just days after CAF's Appeals Committee stripped it of the title, declaring the final forfeited and awarding Morocco a 3-0 victory. Senegal officially filed an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on Wednesday.
