DR ‹ › Locally heavy thunderstorms with the risk of hail and strong wind gusts accompanied by sandstorms are expected on Tuesday and Wednesday in several provinces of Morocco, according to the National Meteorology Directorate (DMN). Thunderstorms, with rainfall amounts ranging from 30 to 40 mm and a risk of hail, are anticipated from Tuesday at 1:00 PM to Wednesday at 8:00 AM in the provinces of M'diq-Fnideq, Tanger-Assilah, Ouezzane, Al Hoceïma, Larache, Fahs-Anjra, Chefchaouen, Tétouan, Moulay Yacoub, Sefrou, Taounate, Fès, Meknès, El Hajeb, Ifrane, Sidi Slimane, Khémisset, Sidi Kacem, Béni Mellal, Azilal, Khénifra, and Al Haouz, as specified by the DMN in an orange-level alert bulletin. Furthermore, strong wind gusts with sandstorms, ranging from 80 to 100 km/h, are expected on Wednesday from noon to 9:00 PM in the provinces of Boulemane, Azilal, Ouarzazate, Midelt, and Tinghir, the DMN concludes.
