DR ‹ › The Moroccan-American Commission for Educational and Cultural Exchange (MACECE), in partnership with THE FORGE and Technopark, hosted a two-event series in Casablanca on Friday focused on strengthening Morocco's entrepreneurship ecosystem and linking it with Silicon Valley, according to a press release. Held at Technopark Casablanca, the initiative brought together ecosystem leaders, founders, students and investors for discussions on Morocco's potential as a hub for scalable ventures. The event featured Professor Matt Glickman, a Fulbright Specialist and Stanford Graduate School of Business faculty member, whose visit is part of the Freedom 250 Initiative marking 250 years of U.S. independence and upcoming U.S.-Morocco friendship celebrations. U.S. Consul General in Casablanca Marissa Scott attended the event, highlighting Washington's commitment to supporting Moroccan entrepreneurs and strengthening economic ties. MACECE Executive Director Rebecca Geffner said the initiative reflects the Fulbright mission of turning knowledge exchange into concrete opportunities, while UM6P Ventures CEO Yassine Laghzioui stressed the shift from potential to execution in Morocco's startup ecosystem. The programme included a closed-door roundtable with around 35 participants from the entrepreneurial ecosystem, followed by a public session attended by roughly 150 founders, students and stakeholders. Discussions focused on practical tools, frameworks and strategies inspired by Silicon Valley to help Moroccan startups scale globally.
