DR ‹ › The Government Council on Thursday approved draft decree No. 2.25.970, which defines the duties of liaison magistrates as well as the procedures for their selection and appointment. The draft was presented by the Minister of Justice. The text forms part of the implementation of Article 81 of Organic Law No. 100.13 relating to the Superior Council of the Judiciary, as amended and supplemented, Government Spokesperson Mustapha Baitas said during a press briefing following the weekly council meeting. He added that the draft comes amid the growing importance of liaison magistrates in strengthening judicial cooperation between Morocco and the countries to which they are accredited, as well as in facilitating the monitoring and implementation of international and technical cooperation programs. The measure also aims to reinforce partnerships and promote openness and communication across various legal and judicial fields, while drawing on best practices and experiences, he concluded.
