Nearly three years after the death of Franck, a 35-year-old man from French Guiana who was thrown from the sixth floor of a hotel in Viry-Châtillon (Essonne), two men have been charged with murder as part of an organized group and placed in pre-trial detention, Le Parisien reports. Investigators believe one of the suspects may have fled to Morocco. On the night of August 22 to 23, 2022, Franck was found critically injured at the foot of the hotel. He died two days later at Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital in Paris's 13th arrondissement. A subsequent search of an apartment he had been using uncovered 660 grams of cocaine and 4,000 euros in cash, confirming his involvement in a drug importation network. A witness identified two suspects through a police photo lineup, and an anonymous tip later pointed to two additional individuals. Three men were arrested on June 24, 2025, in Vitry-sur-Seine. During the raid, police seized several firearms, including a submachine gun, along with more than 30,000 euros in cash.
