Police officers from the provincial security district of Berkane arrested a 32-year-old repeat offender on Wednesday afternoon for his suspected involvement in a burglary at a money transfer agency, according to a security source. The suspect, along with an accomplice, allegedly broke into the agency in Berkane to carry out the theft. Investigations quickly led to his identification and arrest, the same source reported. He is also suspected of committing two similar burglaries in the cities of Zaïo and Oujda. The individual has been placed under judicial investigation, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office, to shed light on the circumstances of the case. Meanwhile, efforts are underway to track down other possible accomplices.
