On Wednesday, a premature baby born at just 26 weeks of pregnancy was airlifted from Errachidia to Rabat aboard a medically equipped ambulance plane to receive specialized care in a neonatal intensive care unit. According to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the emergency transfer was ordered after doctors classified the mother's case as a high-risk pregnancy, requiring the infant's immediate admission to Rabat's university hospital. The ministry added that the medical air transport operation was carried out safely and efficiently thanks to close coordination between the medical and nursing teams at Moulay Ali Cherif Regional Hospital in Errachidia and the University Hospital Center in Rabat, supported by a specialized aviation medicine and medical evacuation unit.
