The German transport and logistics powerhouse, Dachser, is set to bolster its operations in Morocco with a bold new venture at the Tanger Med port. Slated for completion by June 2026, this state-of-the-art logistics platform is a cornerstone of Dachser's sustainable expansion strategy, further cementing Morocco's role as a pivotal hub bridging Europe and Africa. With an investment pegged at 325 million dirhams, the project encompasses a sprawling 75,000 m² site within the port's logistics free zone. Part of the funding, amounting to 206 million dirhams, will come from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). This initiative is poised to generate over 100 skilled jobs. This new facility will empower Dachser to deliver integrated storage, transport, and distribution solutions to European markets, while facilitating Morocco's burgeoning export activities. The site aspires to achieve EDGE Advanced environmental certification, setting a benchmark in the Kingdom for energy sustainability and eco-friendly construction. By embarking on this project, Dachser is capitalizing on the strategic significance of Tanger Med, Africa's premier port and a vital artery in Euro-Mediterranean commerce. The company aims to enhance its links with Spain, France, and Germany, offering Moroccan manufacturers premium logistics services. Dachser has been a fixture in Morocco since 1984, overseeing warehouses and logistics platforms across Marrakech, Mohammedia, Tangier, and Tanger Med.
