DR ‹ › The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) hosted by Morocco «will be the best ever organized», with over one million tickets already sold, said CAF Secretary-General Véron Mosengo-Omba on Tuesday in Rabat. Speaking at a press briefing on the kingdom's final preparations for what he described as a «global event», Mosengo-Omba said this edition «will break all records». He highlighted the «world-class infrastructure» Morocco has put in place to ensure the success of the continent's flagship tournament. He expressed deep gratitude to King Mohammed VI for his continued support of African football and to Morocco for making its sports facilities available to African nations. «We have never held an AFCON with such enthusiasm», he said, noting that more than one million tickets have already been sold. «The indicators are clear. We have never played an AFCON with nine stadiums», he added, stressing the unprecedented popular interest. The CAF official also announced that 18 additional European countries will broadcast the tournament, bringing the total to 30 European broadcasters, in addition to all 54 African nations. Some 3,800 media representatives have already been accredited to cover the event. Mosengo-Omba praised the nine host stadiums, describing the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium as «a true museum», and affirmed that all these elements guarantee an AFCON «of all records in competitiveness, hospitality, and financial returns». Mouad Hajji, General Coordinator of Morocco's Football Federation (FRMF), also stressed that AFCON 2025 is «not just a continental competition but a global event». He highlighted the massive efforts by CAF and the Local Organizing Committee to ensure smooth mobility for fans, supported by Morocco's road, rail, and hotel infrastructure. AFCON Morocco 2025 will take place in nine stadiums across six cities: Rabat, Casablanca, Tangier, Agadir, Fez, and Marrakech.
