DR ‹ › As Morocco steps up preparations to host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, the National Airports Office (ONDA) is rolling out a series of initiatives aimed at improving the experience of passengers and fans arriving from around the world, turning Moroccan airports into fully integrated spaces rather than simple transit hubs. As part of this strategy, a new McDonald's outlet has opened at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca, while «Coffee Bacha», a café with a contemporary concept inspired by local identity, has been inaugurated at Marrakech Airport, reads a press release by ONDA. These openings are part of ONDA's broader strategy to diversify dining options and offer a mix of international brands and locally inspired concepts. At Casablanca airport, restaurant areas have also undergone a comprehensive refurbishment, including redesigned spaces, increased seating capacity, improved passenger flow, and warmer, more comfortable atmospheres. The goal is to transform waiting times into more pleasant moments and make food services a core element of the passenger experience. These initiatives form part of Morocco's broader preparations for AFCON 2025, as ONDA mobilizes modern infrastructure and upgraded services to ensure a smooth, welcoming, and high-quality travel experience for teams, officials, and supporters, reinforcing the Kingdom's image as a regional and international aviation hub.
