DR ‹ › Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi, who plays for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and the national team, has been named to FIFA's Team of the Year, featuring the eleven best players of the 2024–2025 football season. The announcement was made on Tuesday during The Best FIFA Awards ceremony held in Doha. PSG, crowned European champions, dominated the Team of the Year with five players selected. Alongside Hakimi, the lineup includes defenders William Pacho and Nuno Mendes, midfielder Vitinha, and French forward Ousmane Dembélé, who was also named FIFA Men's Player of the Year 2025. The Team of the Year also features goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma (Manchester City), defender Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool), and midfielders Cole Palmer (Chelsea), Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), Pedri (FC Barcelona), and Lamine Yamal (FC Barcelona). PSG head coach Luis Enrique was awarded Men's Coach of the Year, while Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was named Best Goalkeeper. The Puskás Award for the best goal of the year went to Argentina's Santiago Montiel of Independiente, while Mexican forward Lizbeth Ovalle won the Marta Award for the best women's goal. The Fair Play Award was presented to Dr. Andreas Haralds Nöcking for saving the life of a supporter. Meanwhile, the fans of Iraqi club Zakho were named Best Supporters of the Year. In the women's categories, England head coach Sarina Wiegman won Women's Coach of the Year, Spain's Aitana Bonmatí was named Women's Player of the Year, and England goalkeeper Hannah Hampton received the award for Best Women's Goalkeeper.
