DR ‹ › Prices of manufactured tobacco products will increase in Morocco starting January 1, 2026, according to Circular No. 6704/214 dated December 30, 2025 by the Ministry of Economy and Finance. The circular refers to Ministerial Decree No. 2927.25 of December 18, 2025, published in the Official Bulletin No. 7469 on December 29, 2025. The decree updates the list of public retail prices for manufactured tobacco products, as well as the calculation base for the ad valorem component of the internal consumption tax (TIC). Under the new pricing structure, most cigarette brands will see an increase of between MAD 1 and MAD 2 per pack. Prices of other tobacco products, including cigars and heated tobacco, will also rise. These measures fall within the framework of the 2022 Finance Law, which provided for a progressive reform of the internal consumption tax on tobacco for the 2022–2026 period. The reform is part of the government's strategy to increase tobacco-related tax revenues, with a target of MAD 2.6 billion by 2026.
