DR ‹ › The Ministry of Transport and Logistics has urged transport professionals and all road users to exercise heightened caution and strictly observe road safety rules throughout the weekend. The call follows warning bulletins issued by the General Directorate of Meteorology, forecasting unstable weather marked by strong winds, heavy to very heavy rainfall, particularly in mountainous areas, and snowfall in several provinces. Strong winds are expected in multiple regions, including Al Haouz, Chichaoua, Safi, Essaouira, Midelt, Azilal, Marrakech, Agadir Ida-Outanane, and Taroudant. Very heavy rainfall is forecast in Agadir Ida-Outanane, Taroudant, and Essaouira, while heavy rain is also expected in Safi, El Jadida, Sidi Bennour, Chtouka Ait Baha, Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Tiznit, and Youssoufia. Snowfall is expected above 1,600 meters in several mountainous provinces, including Midelt, Tinghir, Azilal, Ouarzazate, and Al Haouz. In this context, the Ministry recommended postponing non-essential travel, especially in affected areas, and urged drivers, particularly those operating public transport, freight, and school vehicles, to closely follow weather updates and check road conditions. Warning that these conditions significantly increase the risk of traffic accidents, the Ministry stressed the importance of adjusting speed, maintaining safe distances, avoiding sudden maneuvers, and exercising extra caution in poor visibility or on wet or snow-covered roads. Road users were also advised to avoid flooded areas and strictly follow instructions issued by the authorities. The Ministry concluded by calling on all road users to act responsibly and remain vigilant to ensure safe travel and protect lives across Morocco's road network.
