DR ‹ › The provincial directorate of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports in Essaouira has announced the continuation of the temporary suspension of classes on Monday across all public and private schools in the province due to adverse weather conditions. The initial decision was taken last week, when classes were suspended on Friday afternoon and Saturday.
The decision follows the latest warning bulletin issued by the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM), which forecasts heavy rainfall and strong winds that could pose risks to the safety of students and educational staff, the provincial directorate said in a statement. The measure, taken to ensure the safety of learners as well as teaching and administrative personnel, was adopted in line with the recommendations of the provincial monitoring committee, and in close coordination with local authorities and all relevant stakeholders, the same source added.
