The tour, which began on January 3, 2026, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will visit 30 FIFA member associations over more than 150 days and 75 stops, giving fans around the world the chance to see the original trophy up close before the World Cup. At the Moroccan event, held at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Salé, Coca-Cola's Managing Director for Morocco and Mauritania described the venue, placing world-class training and facilities at the heart of football development in Morocco and Africa. 1998 World Cup winner Marcel Desailly called the tour «a symbolic journey connecting fans to the magic of the sport» and praised Morocco's football passion and infrastructure, noting the success of hosting the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
