DR ‹ › Moroccan international Zakaria Labyad arrived in São Paulo on Sunday to complete his move to Brazilian club Corinthians, where he is expected to undergo medical tests ahead of an official announcement for the 2026 season. The 32-year-old joins the club on a free transfer after leaving China's Dalian Yingbo at the end of last year, Brazil-Arab news agency ANBA reported on Monday. Corinthians head coach Dorival Júnior said Labyad would be an important addition to the squad. The midfielder previously played alongside Memphis Depay, now also at Corinthians, during their time at Paris Saint-Germain. Born in the Netherlands, Labyad came through PSV's academy before building a diverse club career across Europe, featuring for Sporting CP, Vitesse, Fulham, FC Utrecht, and Ajax, where he won domestic titles and played in European competitions. He later continued his career in China with Yunnan Yukun and Dalian Yingbo.
