DR ‹ › Morocco and the Union of the Comoros signed an agreement on Wednesday in Addis Ababa granting visa exemptions to holders of diplomatic and service passports. The deal was signed by Morocco's Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and his Comorian counterpart, Mbae Mohamed, on the sidelines of the 48th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union (AU). Under the agreement, nationals of either country holding diplomatic or service passports valid for at least six months may enter, stay, exit, or transit through the other country without a visa for up to 90 days within a 180-day period. The agreement also allows members of diplomatic missions and consular representations accredited to the other country, along with their household family members holding diplomatic or service passports, to reside and travel without a visa for the full duration of their accreditation. Morocco is participating in the AU Executive Council session with a delegation led by Nasser Bourita. The meeting precedes the 39th AU Summit of Heads of State and Government, scheduled for February 14 and 15.
