DR ‹ › Local authorities in the province of Chefchaouen have begun the process of returning residents who were temporarily evacuated from their homes due to severe weather conditions affecting the area. In this context, local authorities oversaw the return of families who had been preventively evacuated from the village of Imoudnene, part of the Talambote commune. This allowed 12 families, totaling 51 individuals, to return to their homes, which they had previously left due to the risk of landslides on the mountain slope adjacent to the village. The local authorities in Chefchaouen had provided all these residents with temporary accommodation at the city's Multidisciplinary Social Complex, ensuring access to basic social services, including food, medical care, as well as psychological and social support. Provincial authorities took the necessary measures to ensure the return of the affected individuals from temporary shelters to their homes under the best possible conditions, following a rigorous and well-defined plan. This operation is part of the sustained efforts by the public authorities in the province of Chefchaouen to address the repercussions of the severe weather disturbances that impacted the province. These efforts required the implementation of urgent preventive measures, including the evacuation of several families to safeguard their lives and property, and their temporary accommodation in decent conditions. The operation to return evacuated residents to their homes will continue gradually, according to a coordinated schedule, to ensure its smooth execution.
