DR ‹ › On April 9, the European Union (EU), France, and Morocco launched two ambitious projects in Rabat aimed at promoting legal, circular, and development-oriented migration. The THAMM+ Equipe France initiative seeks to create «secure professional mobility pathways between Morocco and France,» according to a press release. Aligned with the EU's Talent Partnership strategy, the project focuses on developing «structured pathways in the agriculture and hospitality sectors,» involving Moroccan institutions such as MIEPEEC, ANAPEC, and OFPPT, alongside French partners including OFII, France Travail, and sectoral organizations. At the same time, the Regional Migration Initiatives Program (PRIM 2) aims to «anchor migration policies at the local level.» It targets regions where migration is a daily reality, including Souss-Massa and the Oriental, with the goal of improving «access to essential public services, health, education, and economic integration, for Moroccans living abroad (MREs) and third-country nationals.» The program builds on earlier initiatives, notably the National Immigration and Asylum Strategy (SNIA) and the National Strategy for MREs (SNMRE). According to the partners, these projects reflect a «shared vision» to turn migration into «an opportunity for individuals, Morocco, and Europe.» They are also part of the EU and France's «Team Europe» approach, which promotes a coordinated strategy viewing migration as a driver of economic, social, and human development, while further strengthening Morocco-EU cooperation in this area. The launch event was attended by Younes Skouri, Morocco's Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment, and Skills; Dimiter Tzantchev, EU Ambassador to Morocco; Christophe Lecourtier, French Ambassador to Morocco; and Cassilde Brenière, Deputy Director General of Expertise France.
