Within the High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HACA), the working group titled «Regulation and Digital Media», chaired by Narjis Rerhaye, has just released a comic book entitled Digital Violence: Breaking the Silence in Comics, available in both Arabic and French. The aim of this comic is to raise awareness and provide information about digital violence, emphasizing that such acts are neither inevitable nor tolerable. Through a series of illustrated scenes, the comic highlights various forms of cyber-violence: insults, threats, cyberbullying, sharing intimate images without consent, and online predation targeting children and adolescents. Each page presents a scenario followed by a «toolbox» explaining prevention methods, protection strategies, and legal recourse. Narjis Rerhaye reminds us that digital violence affects everyone, particularly young people and women, and that technology can facilitate gender-based violence. «The internet is also a space of vulnerability. It is crucial to strengthen protection and encourage reporting», she insists. The work adopts a tone that is both educational and accessible, aiming to break down taboos and remind everyone that solutions do exist. It addresses all victims—children, teenagers, women, and men—reassuring them that they are not alone and that action can be taken. Available on haca.ma, this publication is part of a series of initiatives by the group, which has already produced several guides on digital security and the fight against disinformation. An Amazigh version is also set to be released soon.
