Morocco's Director General of National Police (DGSN-DGST), Abdellatif Hammouchi, received on Tuesday in Rabat the Head of the Intelligence Services of the United Arab Emirates, Ali Obaid Al Dhaheri, who was accompanied by a high-level security delegation. According to a DGSN-DGST press release, the meeting was part of a working visit focused on enhancing cooperation and mutual assistance, as well as expanding security coordination and partnership between the two countries. The discussions centered on strengthening operational collaboration, improving security coordination, and consolidating information-sharing mechanisms to address various security threats, particularly terrorism in regions of tension. The meeting also provided an opportunity to assess the growing security challenges in Africa, especially in the Sahel-Saharan region, and to explore joint actions to counter the regional terrorism threats that pose increasing concerns for both neighboring countries and global peace and security. These talks underscore the shared commitment of Morocco and the UAE's security services to deepen and broaden their bilateral cooperation to mitigate risks threatening peace and stability in both nations and their wider regional and international environments.
