In a coordinated effort with the General Directorate of National Territory Surveillance, police in the Marrakech arrested a 23-year-old French national of Algerian origin on the afternoon of Monday, November 17. This arrest was executed in response to an international warrant issued by French judicial authorities. A security source disclosed that the suspect's information was cross-referenced with the International Criminal Police Organization's database, «Interpol». It was confirmed that he was internationally sought following a request from the National Central Bureau in Paris, on suspicion of being involved in an attempted murder linked to a criminal gang. During the operation, authorities seized two pieces of cannabis resin along with a sum of money in Algerian currency found in his possession. The suspect is currently under provisional detention as extradition proceedings commence, in accordance with directives from the competent public prosecutor's office. Meanwhile, the National Central Bureau «Interpol Rabat», part of the General Directorate of National Security, has been tasked with informing their French counterparts about the arrest.
