According to the same source, the suspect's identity was checked against the database of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), which revealed that he was wanted under an international Red Notice. The alert had been issued at the request of Interpol's National Central Bureau in Paris, in connection with his alleged involvement in forming a criminal network and participating in international drug trafficking operations using stolen vehicles. Interpol Rabat, which operates under the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), has been notified and will inform its French counterpart of the arrest as part of the procedures leading to the suspect's extradition.
