DR ‹ › The Regional Directorate of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports in Larache Province has decided to suspend classes in all public and private educational institutions within the territorial jurisdiction of the city of Ksar El-Kebir. The suspension will take effect from Monday, February 2, through Saturday, February 7, 2026, due to the flooding that has affected the city following severe weather conditions. According to an official statement obtained by Yabiladi, the decision was taken in response to the exceptional weather recorded in the area. It was implemented in line with the recommendations of the regional alert committee and in coordination with the regional and academic authorities of the Tangier–Tétouan–Al Hoceima region, with the primary objective of ensuring the safety of students, as well as educational and administrative staff. The Directorate stressed that this measure falls within a set of preventive actions aimed at avoiding any potential risks that could threaten the safety of the educational community, pending an improvement in weather conditions and a return to normalcy.
