DR ‹ › Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir, a far-right figure, has engaged in a public exchange with Moroccan footballer Hakim Ziyech on Instagram. The incident began when Ziyech, known for his support of the Palestinian cause, shared on his story a photo of Ben-Gvir celebrating the Israeli Knesset's approval of the «Execution of Palestinian Prisoners» law, writing: «Will Ben-Gvir claim this new law is merely self-defense this time?» The Israeli minister, known for his hardline positions, responded by stating: «An anti-Semitic player cannot lecture the State of Israel on ethics,» adding: «Israel will no longer act cautiously with its enemies. Since I assumed office, prisons have changed, and, God willing, we will enforce penalties on all armed adversaries» He concluded with a warning tone, saying: «Ziyech and all other antisemites will not escape.» In a related development, Morocco's Justice and Development Party (PJD) expressed full solidarity with Hakim Ziyech, describing what he faced as «a terrorist threat by war criminal Itamar Ben-Gvir.» The party praised Ziyech's «bold and courageous humanitarian stance against the brutal aggression faced by the Palestinian people,» as well as his recent position rejecting and condemning the law on the execution of Palestinian prisoners. It also described his stance as «noble,» aligning with «the steadfast position of free Moroccans in support of the Palestinian cause and their Palestinian brethren, considering it on the same level as our primary national cause.»
