DR ‹ › Morocco has been included among the priority countries selected by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Foreign Agricultural Service for its Food for Progress program in fiscal year 2026. The initiative is expected to allocate up to $226 million in new cooperative agreements for projects lasting up to five years, with individual funding ranging between $28 million and $35 million. Morocco appears on the list alongside Bangladesh, Bolivia, Ecuador, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. The USDA indicated that detailed funding opportunities for both programs will be published on Grants.gov. The Food for Progress program supports agricultural and economic development in selected partner countries by funding projects aimed at improving productivity and expanding trade. It works by selling U.S. agricultural commodities in developing markets and using the proceeds to finance local development efforts, while also opening new opportunities for American exports.
