Abdellatif Hammouchi, the Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, officially opened the Higher Institute of Security Sciences in Ifrane this Friday. This new establishment is set to elevate and refine Morocco's security training framework. The inauguration was graced by the presence of both international and national partners active in academic and police training, alongside numerous presidents of national universities and academic institutes. According to a statement from the DGSN, the Higher Institute of Security Sciences is a key component of the DGSN's strategic vision to advance police training programs, aligning them with emerging security challenges and issues. This institute bolsters Morocco's security training network, complementing the Royal Police Institute of Kenitra and various regional police academies. The primary objective is to cultivate security personnel equipped with a forward-thinking approach and high technical proficiency, capable of intelligently navigating the rapid advancements in security, artificial intelligence, digitalization, and contemporary technologies. Concurrently, the institute aims to instill a culture that upholds human rights principles, safeguards individual and collective freedoms, and ensures the dignity of citizens throughout all phases of security operations. To meet these goals, the training programs at the Higher Institute of Security Sciences seamlessly blend scientific knowledge with practical fieldwork. Cutting-edge sciences and technologies are leveraged to enhance security, aiming to develop skilled security agents with professional insight, analytical prowess, and the ability to make sound decisions in complex scenarios. In a bid to draw from leading experiences in police training, a partnership agreement has been established between the Higher Institute of Security Sciences and the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences in Saudi Arabia. This collaboration offers security personnel training on an Arab scale, providing doctoral and master's programs across various technical, scientific, legal, and security disciplines.
