DR ‹ › Snowfall starting at elevations of 1,600 meters, heavy rainfall, and strong wind gusts are expected from Thursday through Saturday in several provinces across the Kingdom, according to Morocco's General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM). Snowfall ranging between 15 and 30 centimeters is forecast on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the provinces of Taza, Guercif, Sefrou, Boulemane, and Midelt, the DGM said in an orange-level weather alert. During the same period, snowfall of 10 to 15 centimeters is expected in the provinces of Ifrane and Azilal, while accumulations of 5 to 10 centimeters are forecast in Al Hoceima, Béni Mellal, Taroudant, Al Haouz, Tinghir, and Ouarzazate. In addition, heavy rain with a risk of thunderstorms—with rainfall totals between 20 and 40 millimeters—is expected on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the provinces of Sefrou, Boulemane, Ifrane, Taza, Azilal, Béni Mellal, Khénifra, and Midelt. The same weather system, with significantly higher rainfall totals ranging from 70 to 100 millimeters, is forecast from Friday at 12:00 a.m. until Saturday at 11:00 p.m. in the provinces of Tangier, Tetouan, Larache, Kenitra, Chefchaouen, Al Hoceima, Ouezzane, Fahs-Anjra, Taza, Taounate, Sefrou, Moulay Yaâcoub, Meknes, Ifrane, Khénifra, Midelt, Béni Mellal, and Azilal. Strong wind gusts reaching 75 to 90 km/h are also expected on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in several provinces, including Kenitra, Larache, Tangier-Assilah, Fahs-Anjra, M'diq-Fnideq, Tetouan, Chefchaouen, Al Hoceima, Taza, Driouech, Guercif, Jerada, Taourirt, Boulemane, Sefrou, Berkane, Oujda, Nador, Figuig, Midelt, Fez, El Hajeb, Ifrane, Tinghir, Ouarzazate, Tata, Tiznit, Sidi Ifni, and Guelmim.
