DR ‹ › The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) announced on Saturday, February 21, 2026, the death of four of its officers in a road accident near Sidi Ifni. The victims were part of the Mobile Unit for Order Maintenance and were on their way to Agadir to ensure security at a football competition. According to an initial report, the bus carrying 44 police officers veered off the road about 24 kilometers from Sidi Ifni. The accident also resulted in 26 injuries, with two individuals in critical condition. The Director General of the DGSN instructed the Agadir Police Prefecture and the institution's medical and social services to closely monitor the injured and provide them with all necessary care. He also ordered the presentation of condolences and support for the victims' families. The Human Resources Directorate has been tasked with initiating the administrative procedures outlined by the special status of DGSN officers in favor of the victims of this accident.
