DR ‹ › A 29-year-old man killed his mother and two siblings and seriously injured a third in a knife attack inside the family home in Azilal early Thursday morning, April 9. The suspect, who had previously been admitted to a psychiatric hospital last August, is believed to have carried out the assault while showing signs of mental disturbance. The injured sibling, who has a physical disability, was rushed for treatment. Following the incident, security forces secured the scene and launched a search operation that led to the suspect's arrest and the seizure of the weapon used. The Judicial Police Brigade in Azilal has since opened a criminal investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor to determine the circumstances and motives behind the attack, as well as to assess the suspect's mental and psychological condition.
