DR ‹ › Morocco is bracing for thunderstorms and scorching temperatures this Monday, as reported by the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM). The DGM has issued an orange-level alert, warning of intense thunderstorms expected to bring 25 to 35 mm of rain and a risk of hail. These conditions are forecasted to hit the provinces of Guercif, Taourirt, Jerada, Figuig, Ifrane, Sefrou, Boulemane, Khénifra, and Midelt between 2:00 PM and 9:00 PM. In addition, several regions will experience a heatwave, with temperatures soaring between 35°C and 39°C. The affected provinces include Salé, Khémisset, Skhirat-Témara, Kénitra, Nouaceur, Benslimane, Berrechid, El Jadida, Casablanca, Mediouna, Mohammedia, Sidi Bennour, Safi, Essaouira, Chtouka-Ait Baha, Tiznit, Sidi Ifni, Guelmim, Assa-Zag, Tan Tan, and Es-Semara, according to the DGM.
