DR ‹ › Showers, heavy rainfall, and strong wind gusts are expected on Thursday in several Moroccan provinces, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM). An orange-level weather alert issued by the DGM forecasts heavy rain and thunderstorms ranging between 50 and 90 mm from midnight until 11 p.m. in the provinces of Chefchaouen and Tetouan. During the same period, rainfall totals of 30 to 50 mm are expected in Larache, Al Hoceima, Fahs-Anjra, and M'Diq-Fnideq, while lighter accumulations of 20 to 30 mm are forecast in Tangier-Assilah, Taounate, Taza, and Ouazzane. The DGM also warned of strong wind gusts of 75 to 90 km/h from midnight to 11 p.m. on Thursday in several provinces, including Fahs-Anjra, Larache, Tangier-Assilah, Tetouan, M'Diq-Fnideq, Taroudant, Ouarzazate, Midelt, Kenitra, Berkane, Driouch, Figuig, Nador, Oujda-Angad, El Jadida, Safi, Sidi Bennour, El Hajeb, Ifrane, Boulemane, Sefrou, Al Hoceima, Guercif, Taounate, Taza, Chefchaouen, and Taourirt.
